Genesee Valley C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.

Our chapter of C.O.P.S. is entirely volunteer-driven; we have no paid staff. As survivors of law enforcement line of duty death, our mission is to assist those who come after us, learn to live, laugh and love again.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is a Chapter of many across the Country. We give support to Families and Co Workers of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of Duty. While we serve twenty-three counties;  Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango,  Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Onondaga, Oneida   Ontario, Oswego, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Yates , we also provide support and guidance to areas in NY State that are not covered by a Chapter.

Our Mission

Rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths, through partnerships with law enforcement and the community.

It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived.
